The Gino Journal!
Chris Judge Character Competition
Welcome to the first edition of "The Gino Journal"
Imaginosity's monthly newsletter has been renamed in honour of our new character wonderfully designed by the award winning illustrator Chris Judge! In February's newsletter we put forth a call to action asking YOU to name our little green pal, and boy did you deliver! We had hundreds of ideas come flooding in, both through email and in the museum, and after much deliberation we are delighted to introduce...(Drumroll please)...
PROFESSOR GINO SQUIGGLY!
Congratulations to Laureena Boswell who has won a Family Pass to Imaginosity for coming up with this fantastic name!
A Curious Arrival...
We are excited to announce the arrival of four larger than life puppets designed by Paul Costelloe. Originally created for the "Enchanted Palace" exhibition at Kensington Palace, the puppets were kindly donated by the designer and his family to delight Imaginosity's young visitors! To view the puppets, or attend a performance of the theatre piece that has been developed for the room, check out our event calendar.
Passport to Europe at Imaginosity!
All week facilitators native to countries across Europe will be leading families in art/drama and storytelling sessions, that bring an awareness to their language and culture. Workshops will be facilitated bi-lingually. The events will include a Polish Story Session, a Dutch Art Workshop and an Italian Drama Workshop facilitated by a guest facilitator from Divertitaliano.
We are excited to announce the arrival of a new interactive in the Post Office! Generously designed for Imaginosity, by the talented students in the Media Department at The Stillorgan College of Further Education, the programme invites you to design a stamp featuring our new character!
Professor Squiggly's WaterLab
June will see the arrival of a fantastic new exhibit, which will allow children to splish and splash to their heart's content, while discovering some important scientific properties. The Water Lab exhibit will be located on the balcony adjacent to the first floor, and visit times will be available on our calendar of events.
Wild Weekend Round-up!
Did you make it along to our Wild Weekend in April? We welcomed Jungle Dave, Ecologist Dale Treadwell and Pat from Sealife Bray to delight our visitors young & old with a selection of weird & wonderful creatures!
