Easter Egg-citement at Imaginosity!

2nd - 13th April

We have a jampacked schedule of events coming up in this Easter Break! Check out our calendar of events for more details on what's going on in our Art, Music & Drama departments!  As always, we would recommend booking in advance for any visit during school holidays.  

Imaginosity Easter Trail

April 6th, 7th & 9th

Imaginosity is excited to announce that this year our Easter Trail will be sponsored by the chocolate experts at Cadbury Ireland!   On the 6th, 7th and 9th of April the whole family will have lots of fun exploring Imaginosity’s Easter Trail (We are Closed on Easter Sunday, April 8th). The Imaginosity Easter Trail will lead families through every nook and cranny in Imaginosity searching for our cleverly concealed clues.  Use the clues to answer the questions on your answer sheet  and collect your prize of a delicious chocolate egg!  

Booking essential!  Get in early, we have lots of eggs to give away, but when they're gone they're GONE!

Eco Badger is Back in Town!

The Roof Garden is back open for Springtime! Eco Badger is so excited to be back that he can't stop dancing - check out his video here and be sure to come visit him on the roof soon!

Easter Camps

Imaginosity Unplugged

2nd - 6th April 

Join Artist in Residence Liz Tyndall and her trusty sidekick Sidney the Snail as they take you on a week-long voyage of discovery through the Imaginosity exhibit space. Sail the high seas, don a white coat in the doctor's office and journey to the roof top garden, Sidney will show you the way!  Your aim:  To create your own unique story by "Unplugging Imaginosity"!

Ages 4 - 7 years 

Time: 9.30am - 1pm 

Cost: €99

The Science Playground!

10th - 13th April 

Discover what scientific wonders lie in the world around you with daily workshops exploring physics, chemistry and biology.  Every day will be jam packed full of fun and learning led by our friendly and energetic facilitators Jill and Jane!  Due to popular demand we have added a second Science Playground Camp this week. 

The Science & Engineering Programme at Imaginosity is currently sponsored by Audi Ireland.  

Ages:  4 - 6 years

Time: 9.30am - 1.30pm 

Cost: €80

Happy Faces Day

Friday 6th April 

Happy Faces Day is now in its 6th year and Imaginosity is delighted to welcome professional photographer Ines Billingsto the museum.  Ines will be shooting children's headshots which will be available for purchase in a lovely presentation folder for €25. All money collected goes to The Jack and Jill Foundation.

Go Wild!  Festival of Wildlife at Imaginosity

14th & 15th April 

Come join us for a weekend of all things Wild & Wonderful! Imaginosity is embracing creepy, crazy and cuddly creatures with the help of Ecologist Dale Treadwell, Exotic Animal Handler Jungle Dave and  special guests from Dublin Zoo and Sealife Bray.  Pop in to one of these interactive and informative workshops, get your face painted as something FIERCE or gather around for a "Walk through the Jungle" in storytime. 

Puppet Week 

21st - 27th April 

Peg Dolls, Marionettes and Paper bag Puppets Galore! With themed Workshops and puppet shows a-plenty Puppet Week at Imaginosity is set to be fantastic fun for creche groups and families alike!  The week will get off to a truly enchanting start with the unveiling of the exhibition of our magical Victorian Puppets designed by Irish Designer Paul Costelloe.  The Exhibition opens on the 21st and 22nd of April.

School Tour Season at Imaginosity

Every May and June Imaginosity welcomes thousands of schoolchildren from all over the country for their school tours.  Because of this Tuesday to Friday from 9.30am - 1.30pm can be fairly busy so visitors and members with small toddlers and babies, as always, are advised to keep this in mind when planning your visit.

5 Little Ducks went swimming one day...

Over the hill and far away...to Imaginosity!  Last year a mother duck (We liked to call her Martha) moved into the Imaginosity pond with her 8 baby ducks - Martha must have decided that the Beacon South Quarter was the perfect location to raise a family as we've noticed her building her nest again this Spring!  We can't wait for the ducklings to hatch - you may spot them swimming around the fountain on your next visit..

Name our Character Competition!

Have you noticed the little green character hanging out on the home page of our website? He was designed for us by the amazing award winning illustrator Chris Judge, author of "The Lonely Beast".  To be in with a chance of winning a family pass to Imaginosity help us name our new character.
